Tech Health: speed.io

by James Hatch on January 6, 2009

This site, speed.io, is a broadband health meter that has performed over 15,400,000 speed tests and reflects a number for my access that I find surprising. 15000 Kbit/s is probably the highest value I’ve ever seen on my connection since I moved 4 years ago. It has a quirky domain name, but the interface looks great. It says that it is powered by Speedmeter, which is a German outfit, but the speed.io site is completely redone in english. Looks good, not sure about the numbers.
