Have you ever been somewhere and needed to write down a note or a sketch? You don’t have a pen or paper, I know I never carry those ol’luddite tools around anymore [there is nothing bad about being a Luddite, there is a time and place for everything] and those tools don’t allow you to email the result, add color on the fly, or print it. No, they pretty much allow you to wipe your nose after your idea fails to materialize, so I guess there is a silver-ish lining.
But this tool is close to what I want, just very high resolution and more of a sketchpad than a communication device. The GiiNii is a Wi-Fi only tablet/VOIP device that comes real close to what I want, except I read over on Gizmodo that it has a problem with its touch sensitivity. Well, I had that problem with every single touch device until I got my HP 2000z [35 days before the 2500Z dropped mind you, yes I'm still trying to figure out a way to fix that.] but this is the first iteration of a device I want.
Short of running a Photoshop application that affords me the tools to manipulate a photograph or sketch something on digital graph paper, this is a win. I’ll even give up the touch sensitivity if the stylus I use gives me extraordinary resolution.
I’m interested in the Archos 7, but its limited to being a MID/PMP (For those who didn’t get the acronym memo, MID is Mobile Internet Device, and PMP is Portable Media Player)
