DippingPoint.com – a New, Free internet service.

by James Hatch on January 26, 2009

DippingPoint.com is a new, free internet service that is currently in R&D. Many years ago, I created the first free internet service using dial up solutions for a company I was employed by. That company chose not to launch the service completely after I (and a programmer friend) developed the solution in my two-bedroom apartment. The client that enabled the service was a beautiful piece of software albeit not as robust as it could have been, since it was coded in the wrong language. It allowed our service (PortalPlus) to geolocate customers, obtain likes and dislikes through monitoring of the traffic, obtain demographic information through questionnaires, and stream advertisements in real-time to each individual customer online. We could even stream a new advertisement if someone were monitoring the traffic/demographic information and noticed they were looking for a car, watch, or bag of chips. It would have been a net-changing service, if adequately launched with proper funding and marketing.
With DippingPoint.com, I plan to do that. This economy demands a free internet service, and with Net Neutrality currently in place, the US is ripe for a new free internet service launch, so stay tuned.
