Engadget has an blog entry about the Kindle… redux. I hope they redesign this thing, and give it some strength, as everyone I’ve heard talk about it hates the keyboard, and the durability. I haven’t had a chance to even use one, but I’m waiting for the next edition. I don’t like the design of the Kindle right now, but I love everything else about it. Especially its whispernet delivery of books and access to Wikipedia articles that are great when you want to look something up without having to boot up whatever else you might have.
I’ll be getting a Kindle 2 as a gift for someone I know who reads 3 newspapers a day, a book every 3-8 hours [depending on the book and the flight/trip involved] and could probably be the center of a recycling micro-economy.
