Leaked pictures of the Kindle 2 have been appearing on the net, the latest batch that I have found is here at JKontherun.com and I hope that they are not the end design. What I don’t like is the keyboard hanging down below the screen like that, changing the center of gravity. At least, it appears that way, and my tendency to hold a device directly on the center-point of the screen is more intuitive. A slider keyboard should have been integrated instead of this chunk of bad design strapped to the bottom of a perfectly good eInk screen. I feel sad now, my day is ruined and I think I might actually by a first gen Kindle (kidding, I’m waiting to see the real deal on February 9th).

I would rather have my ebook design built, which would be two eInk pages that are bound together to resemble a standard book and you can change pages by pushing a button and folding the book together. One button on the right would move the page forward one, and one button on the left would move it back one page. Of course, you could lock the pages down so they don’t fold if you like and read pages in landscape or portrait. I could go on, but after my last blog attempt, I’m feeling weak and still need to get breakfast.
