MobWatch.com – Redesign and Relaunch

by James Hatch on February 10, 2009

I wanted to launch a social network site that takes into account social network credibility and whuffie, a term coined by Corey Doctorow in a novel called Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom.
With that in mind, I relaunched MobWatch.com, a social network that allows users to submit links to social networks and discuss the credibility, and measure the whuffie, of a user. The major limitation of MobWatch is that it is not instantaneous, but I’m working on it. Chip design is expensive and people don’t appreciate having bulking 3G wireless modules installed in their heads. The antenna attracts lightning.
