iPhone App Quick Review – Let's Golf

I remember having to run cable across the floor to link computers together through a slow hub, and conventional CRT monitors, slow boot times, paying $60 for an application… each seat of it, and when you have anywhere from 4-10 people sitting around having a LAN party, well, anyway.
The point of this blog post is an insanely fun application for the iPhone. The App? Let’s Golf! [App Store Link]. Gameloft put together this application, and I have to say they are amazing. The graphics, the play, the user interface, everything. It is amazing, and fun, and manages to do on my iPhone, what used to take $3000 worth of hardware, a painful amount of linking cables and praying that the network connection would work, AND there was still lag. But not here. My wife has an iPhone too, so she can be herding the cats into 4 square feet in a 3000 square foot house [not sure why we have this house at this point, we spend 99% of our time in about 12 square feet of it]. Oh, and I’m sitting outside on the deck, or upstairs, and we can play this game of golf over my network… for $.99 [99 cents]. I know. Technology is so cool when it works.
Check it out.
