I’m a huge fan of technology, I try to get the latest gadgets, and if I can’t, I read all about them. This led me to TED.COM, a great site to learn about some new technologies that are deserving of more mainstream attention. You can subscribe to them as a PodCast on iTunes, even in HD. So, anyway, this led to The Lifesaver Bottle presentation on TED.COM. Michael Pritchard talks about the bottle, and it is amazingly simple in function, high-tech in nature, and works for up to 6000 litres of water. It costs an arm-and-a-leg, so don’t use this when you go for a run unless you really need to. At $200, you mileage may vary, you probably don’t want to fire this up with tap water just to be safe. Well, unless your water-well is near a SuperFund site.

EDIT: I want this, the coolness factor is off the chart.
