And here is another: The “Story” is going to compete with everything else coming to market. I know that there are going to be some serious protectionist actions happening to prevent them. Primarily, licensing the rights to access certain formats. If they try to reverse engineer the accessing of .PDF’s for instance, I can imagine Adobe filing a suit to prevent them from being distributed in the US, of course, this won’t be harmful to Amazon. Tactically, it would be in Amazons best interest to draw attention to that fact if it were found out. Along with a whole host of other suits from other companies, from the file system that is used to the WiFi drivers. Who knows. But I’ve only seen two readers in the US with any market, Sony and Amazon. Both have higher price points right now, both appear bigger. We’ll see. I want an inexpensive reader with a 5-6″ epaper screen so that I can carry it around with my laptop and access documents without killing my battery. Although the MacBook Pro does get great battery life… I’ve yet to get 7 hours since it was brand new though. Perhaps it is because I have 12 applications running at one time. Yep, I multitask a lot.
