So, as a creative, I’m usually coming up with ideas. And these two have been sitting here in my library for 15+ years. First comes the idea to use Infrared emitters to prevent screeners from recording movies at the movie theaters. A Japanese company is intending to use the methodology identical to what I had come up with. No, I don’t think they stole it. The fastest, gets the mostest. A horrible way to say that the first mover gains strategic dominance in market position, brand, and in advantage overall.

The second idea is that of the split-screen book computer. A device that looks like a paperback, but is actually a full blooded computer. I’m partial to multi-touch screens, but the story over on Gizmodo is pretty much on target. Unfortunately, it is a Microsoft product, so you can expect battery life to be around 2 hours. Apple would probably be able to squeeze out 5-6 hours in the same device. If you’ve ever seen the inside of a MacBook Pro, you’ll know the level of micronization that Apple does to electronics. The motherboard is about the size of a credit card, or perhaps two. The rest is HD, Optical drive, and battery. I love it.
