I am reading the entire bill this weekend and find it pretty interesting. I have yet to find out how upwards of 24 million people will be covered without scarcity causing doctors to be overwhelmed with patients which would cause rates to increase each year as they do now. We have a lot of doctors now, but my last two visits to the ER were for the same reason and I don’t thunk I saw a doctor. One was great, the other was a bit too paranoid as to why I was in there. The ER ate the costs of that last visit. I waited over 8 hours before being seen, then another 2 for no treatment other than to be made to feel as if I had been a criminal. What is going to happen after the bill passes? Doctors are already scarce, highly responsible ones even more so.
More to come…
