Dear AT&T… I understand constant monitoring is straining the system…

by James Hatch on October 8, 2009

But can you please not drop 5 out of 6 of my calls? It started a few days ago. But today, the first 5 of 6 phone calls which went beyond 6 minutes were dropped. Including one while I was talking to an AT&T rep about the dropped calls. My wife had the same problem, calling out, dropped calls.

I call AT&T, they say everything is fine. I sit in the parking spot with my phone, and it switches to “E”, the extended network. It did that while I was at school as well. When I’m discussing an issue of policy with a hospital representative, having my phone hang up on the person during a heated conversation makes it look like I’m throwing a tantrum and hanging up. Then I have to ramp the conversation back up to effective levels after saying that I didn’t hang up on the person, it is just the network.

Not very professional. It’s more like trying to explain that I’m busy, and that is why I’m not calling very often, Mom.

Anyway. AT&T gets a huge FAIL rating for me this last week. Some people are saying its caused by high Solar activity. Well, I want to kick AT&T where the sun doesn’t shine.
