I don't even care when iPhone OS 3.1.2 was released.

by James Hatch on October 11, 2009

I’m updating my iPhone right now. And I’m hoping that this fixes the problem. After having 5 of 6 phone calls in one morning [which led me to not use my phone for that day and the next], I called AT&T which was generally dismissive of the issue. “I’ll transfer you to Apple because there are no problems with the network.” and then the Apple “Genius” which said the chances of it being an Apple issue is remote since my wife and I had the same problem(s) with the iPhone. She was pretty sarcastic about my complaint. I told her I thought it was remote, but if a troubleshooting issue isn’t detected at the network level, it has to be the hardware and/or software which is under Apple control.

Well, lo and behold, Apple releases an update that is supposed to fix the very issues I was complaining about on our iPhone 3G’s [not the GS, a long story there too, but you can read about it on mah blog... everyone has one you know.] So, I always want to find the people who make a claim that impacts others on a large scale, and give them a reality slap. But, they never stand up to take possession of their incorrect claims and in this case, dismissive and sarcastic, no, she was pretty patronizing in tone.

Oh well, we’ll see if this fixes the problem(s).
