The San Francisco Chronicle posted something today that has me rolling on the floor. I used to live in California, but left it for the DC/Metro area nearly 6 years ago… I haven’t had to witness directly, the things that are going on in California; I do hear about it occasionally; like housing prices halving in value.
Then comes this veto from Schwarzenegger, which, if you look at the first letter of the veto, it drops the F-Bomb on those who voted to institute a bill.
Ethically, if someone is “having fun” as the article suggests, a person needs to realize where and when you can have fun. I wouldn’t wear a swastika while walking through the holocaust museum, I wouldn’t scream ‘fire’ in a crowded movie theater, and I wouldn’t make comments about being a fundamentalist Muslim who is tired of the long lines to get on board a plane. It might be funny in the right context, but not as described.
Frankly, I hope it is just one of those pranks where the people are being gamed for the sake of humor. If not, someone is about to get in trouble.
