What do you do when you find a bug?

by James Hatch on November 7, 2009

Do you notify the provider of a website when a bug is found? Do you just move on? I sometimes send a note to a website administrator, but this is a bug in a flash game with prizes awarded each week. I found the bug because the current leaderboard is full of people who are either ninjas when it comes to clicking things, time travelers who manipulate time, or cheating. I found that you can freeze the clock on this flash game, thus nearly eliminating time as a variable. Time becomes a big factor in this game. I can’t name the game because I sent a note to the admin.

How long should I wait?

See how time becomes a big factor in everything? Timing is everything. Everything I say.
