I’ve been drinking the Apple kool-aid for the last 6 months or so. Switched completely over to Mac a few months ago. My PC’s are just sitting around my office collecting dust waiting for me to take their drives out and reintegrate the data that I haven’t needed on a daily basis. I might have to get a Mac Pro [that is the desktop for those who aren't in the loop]. Well anyway, I also have an iPhone [long story, you'll find links to the other articles about it down below if my site is working properly]. I’m prone to not spending money on headsets and such because I think when you purchase an item, that is how it is intended to be consumed. Like fine dining, you let the chef decide how it should be served. If you go to Outback and order a burger, you can make it how you want. Add ketchup, sure. BTW, their burgers are great without anything else added.

Anyway, I can’t feel the same way about Apple iPhone in-ear headphones. After all of the issues they’ve had with people going deaf and complaining about them in general, they still haven’t been providing a solution. Pretty much you have to go roll your own somewhere. I stopped using them, but its a conscious effort; I know they are horrible. When I wear them for any period of time and not even turned up, I feel like my hearing has been reduced for a long time afterward. There is this tinny feeling I get and it takes time for it to go away. I stopped using them months ago and I still shudder at the need to put them in again. But they are part of the package. Fortunately, there are a lot of solutions, but again, I don’t think I should feel the need to get new headphones because the ones that come with a device should be good enough for daily use. They simply aren’t though.

I don’t know which in-ear headphones to get though, the new Klipsch headset looks good, the Image S4i has everything the iPhone headphones have but are apparently superior quality. Can’t doubt that because the ones with the iPhone make my head explode.
