Well, good for consumers at least. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to have their head checked. Any company that might say that consolidation is good for the customer should be stripped of its license.
M&A might help to a point, but when there is only a few competitors in a space, primarily due to artificial constraints… yeah, you have a big problem.
So, meet Google Fiber… I’m stuck paying as much for my spotty 50/15 Mbit line [that slows down to a crawl periodically and stops when it rains a little too much] as Google Fiber users are paying for gigabit speeds.
So frustrating. The amount of cat pictures I could download from the Internet would be staggering.
