Most Personal Projects are Offline for 2015

Too many distractions, not enough time. I’m focusing on other things and returning to school for another Masters degree. This time in Digital Forensics. I had been considering a PhD, but I’ll reconsider in two years. I’m working a lot more on the teaching side of things and have unwound most of my business operations. I’ve scaled everything back on that to focus on New Product Development.

As of right now, projects and products will be launched at HATCHideas.com when they are developed internally. As usual, I don’t discuss client projects so that will continue. I’m taking my news gathering sites offline for an iterative review and I’ve had some problems with them lately. I don’t have time to watch them, they aren’t making money and I hardly use them anymore. I never promote my projects either, so there is that to consider. Domains will be listed at my company website.

ohmTown.com will remain the major project in development, as will MagneTile and its associated projects like SpectrumTile. TileSnap, the original project will remain as well, but is returning to development stages. Particularly now as I focus on teaching.

My search engine project is returning to hold status after finding out that WATSON, you know, that huge AI project that kicked butt on Jeopardy, is doing exactly what Konfound was supposed to do. I don’t have the budget to operate it, nor the time.

Another project that will remain, albeit it on hiatus while the holidays are going, is Toddlerton.

More to come, right now I need to go to bed. Tonight I shut down IconMonster.com, Fanatology.com and Mobble.com, although they will probably go back online in 2015 during the first quarter as I move them to a new look.
